Stephanie Donbavand, 30, works in IT, and is from Liverpool. She's married to Chris and has a six-month-old son, Seb.

"Before I became a mum, I loved tennis and swimming. But I'm now too worn out to get back into regular exercise. Most physical activity these days is going out for walks with Seb in the buggy.

"We go long distances some days and, as he gets older, trips to the park will keep me active but I need something more regular. Making time is the big problem with a baby but, if I could, I'd do yoga or a Pilates class each week. Even doing a few lengths at the swimming pool would help.

"It's so easy to get on with day-to-day childcare and forget that you need to look after yourself too. But I'm up for the challenge of fitting into a size 14 dress by our Christmas do and I'll do whatever I can to get there."

STEVE SAYS:

"Stephanie's walks with hers on are a great starting point. As he gets bigger, she will need to up the effort to propel the buggy along. With a shop-ping bag or two, it's a fair weight. She could even take the long way home, or go out twice."

Stephanie's exercises

Wide-leg squat

Steve says: "The beauty of these is that they do the same as a standard squat but having your feet wider apart makes your inner thighs work a lot harder."
